Speaking & Demonstrating

Where most artists work in isolation, I am a fast painter and I enjoy working in public. I can be installed in a visible space and create a large scale imaginative artwork, or interact with people as I paint. The work can be a response to a place and event, or crafted to engage an audience in a particular way.

My event activity ranges from wedding receptions, children's book fair demonstration in Australia and internationally, school talks and workshops, festivals, university and professional development presentations, and as a working gallery installation.

Please contact me to discuss your event.

Talking images with adults: Challenging concepts and incredible visuals are an engaging tool for telling stories to many audiences.

Inspiration for much of my work flows from the fashion, architecture and design of the 1920s-50s, with the narrative elements that I have perfected as an illustrator. The resulting work has a strong style, with a little theatrical flair and a narrative edge which draws the viewer to engage with the work. Throw in the freedom of a little surreality and we have memorable works that people can see brought to life before their eyes. And don't worry - no overalls, no mess.
